Follow Forty Twitter CMS Gurus In Three Clicks

And the ship’s wise men
Will remind you once again
That the whole wide world is watchin’.
- WHEN THE SHIP COMES IN

So, you want to follow the CMS world on Twitter. How about the ability to follow the creme de la creme of the CMS Twitterati in a couple of clicks. Well, my friend, you’ve struck gold. [UPDATE: Even more gold than promised. The list is growing. More than 40]

So, next step is to copy the nicely formatted list at the bottom of this post, and paste them into Twitterator as shown in the screenshot below. You need to give them your Twitter creds, sadly. James promised he’ll write me a bulk following program that uses OAuth. Don’t worry if you’re already following some of the users. It handles these pretty well.

Follow multiple users in one go

[UPDATE: Forget Twitterator! TweetML is far better. Use this link: http://tweepml.org/McBoof-s-CMS-Gurus/]

And here is the list in a nice cut and paste format. Stick them into your clipboard, and off to Twitterator. That’s it. Happy following. Don’t forget to delete me if you only like serious CMS chatter. Finally, if you want some of these people’s blogs, have a look at the OPML Feed of my blogroll, or the large list compiled by @proops.

  • Thank you for the mention, and for putting together this rogue’s gallery — excuse me, this distinguished list of experts. A distinguished list indeed. ;)

  • Martin van Mierloo

Thanks for the list Jon! Personally I would leave out the top 3 out as they’re basically dumps of RSS feeds and the interesting thing about Twitter is the frequent dump of thoughts and links. (I known that that there are hardcore twitterazzi who say they don’t need RSS anymore, but I’m not mentally ready for that yet)

    • Yeah, I hear you. I thought about it. However, both @cmswatch and @cmswire do actually do more than RSS feeds. We’ve got both Tony and Brice hiding in the wings. I do wish they’d have their own accounts, though. You’re 100% correct about @the451group. Pure broadcast, no followers. So they’re off the list. Good news, Bryan from @cmsreport, you’re in! I’m also not quite sure about ditching RSS for Twitter. Getting close …

      • One thing I want to reply to is that weightloss program fast may be possible by the appropriate diet and exercise. Someone’s size not just affects appearance, but also the entire quality of life. Self-esteem, major depression, health risks, and physical abilities are impacted in weight gain. It is possible to just make everything right and still gain. Should this happen, a condition may be the root cause. While an excessive amount food instead of enough exercising are usually the culprit, common medical conditions and widespread prescriptions may greatly enhance size. I am grateful for your post in this article.

Someone’s size not merely affects appearance, but also the entire quality of life. Self-esteem, depressive disorder, health risks, as well as physical ability are damaged in putting on weight. It is possible to just make everything right whilst still having a gain. In such a circumstance, a problem may be the offender. While an excessive amount of food and never enough physical exercise are usually the culprit, common medical conditions and trusted prescriptions could greatly increase size. I am grateful for your post in this article.

      • I just like the helpful information you provide on your articles. I’ll bookmark your blog and test once more here frequently. I am somewhat certain I’ll be told plenty of new stuff right here! Best of luck for the next!

Thanks for the mention and i wish you a great weekend.

  • Great that I made the list, but puf seemed more shocked about it that I did (don’t know why, he is sooo good!) :)

  • Jon, thanks for adding @cmsreport to the list. I think this list, whether I’m included or not, is a great idea. I’m anxious to expand my Twitter horizons and follow those gurus on the list that are new to me.

    • Super Beitrag. Sehr anschaulich dargstellt insbesondere für Anfänger. Macht weiter MFG Jessi

    • Iím not sure where you are getting your information, but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning much more or understanding more. Thanks for magnificent information I was looking for this information for my mission.

    • Something else is that when looking for a good on the internet electronics retail outlet, look for web stores that are continually updated, maintaining up-to-date with the latest products, the best deals, along with helpful information on services and products. This will ensure that you are doing business with a shop that stays over the competition and give you what you ought to make intelligent, well-informed electronics expenditures. Thanks for the vital tips I have really learned through the blog.

    • Much Appreciated! Have A Great Day

    • Hello! I just would like to give a huge thumbs up for the great text you have here on this blog. I will be coming back to your page for more soon.

  • Hi Jon,

thanks for putting the list together!

  • Hey,

Thanks for including me on the list. It’s good to be in a gang. Wait, I mean a club. I mean associated with a group of highly regarded professionals.

  • Hey Jon. Thanks for the mention, hard to compare myself to many of these bright minds.

  • I think you forgot us. ;)

@reddotcmsblog – Unofficial RedDot CMS blog (aka Open Text Web Solutions Suite)

  • Hello John !

Many thanks to add me in yout list. :-) I’m very proud to be at the same level as other ECM BIG BOSS.
Due to that +10 followers in one day. Thanks a lot!

    Hey… I think I’m the junior of this list ! Wouhouhou!!! ;-)

  • Jon, thanks for the inclusion and putting the list together, excellent stuff.

  • Hi Jon,

I was wondering why so many industry people started following me (was getting a little tired of the porn stars and SEO experts ;-) ).
Thanks for adding my name. I feel privileged to be among this crowd. Gives me the push I needed to tweet a little more.

  • @julesdw Imagine the pressure being on this list bring to my tweets. I used to be able to tweet about anything. But now apparently has to be meaningful and about CMS. Pfff….

By the way: where do we give our acceptance speech? I’d tweet it, but 140 characters seems a bit on the low side given all the long names that people use on twitter these days.

    • All acceptance speeches should be uploaded to YouTube along with subtitles. Not more than 10 minutes per speech, and no crying. I reserve the right to use these speeches for any marketing or promotional material.

  • I wish I’d be mentioned as an EPiServer CMS expert in the list, but that is most probably (well, certainly) because I love being on lists of people who know what they’re doing! :) Another (not useless!) list compiled by you, appreciate it!

    • You’re in. Until LBi and Hallvarsson & Halvarsson end up in some global pitch against each other. Then you’re off ;-)

I love your blog posts, including the EPiServer specific ones. And your last one on Fixed Price. Although, as you allude to, Fixed Price/Variable Scope is fine. Fixed Price/Fixed Scope is where the dragons hide.

  • Ted Nyberg

I think you just gave me the topic of my next post on pricing! :) Fixed price, variable scope is indeed fine – that’s got SCRUM written all over it! As you said, fixed price/fixed scope is where it all (potentially) goes to h*ll! :)

    • And it’s even worse for the poor full service agencies. We get paid a wad of cash to figure out strategically what to build. But before we figure this out, we need to know what the build cost is going to be. I’ve got lots of posts/rants about this to come too. Looking forward to yours.

  • Jon thanks for the mention!

  • Jon- Thanks, this is a great service and huge help to me as I’m now tweeting individually from @TonyByrne.

    Cheers!

  • Many thanks for including me on your list, Jon. I’m honored to be in such esteemed company!

    • Hello! I believed I would send a fast remark considering that I’ve spent the better part of the previous 30 minutes scanning through your blog posts. I’m truly liking what you have received happening here with your weblog and I do hope you keep writing it. Nicely that’s just about all I have to say! Many thanks and very nice to nearly ‘meet’ you and your website.

    • Possessing difficulty thinking of romantic gifts for guys? Desire to give the gentleman in your daily life an unforgettable gift he’ll love? Have you looked all over the place, however , you still don’t know what to obtain? Some men are truly hard to purchase for – and when a new set of BBQ tools or a box of golf balls appears much less than romantic, you are right. Sure, they are useful – but sometimes guys ought to be reminded that romance is simply as crucial as getting points done is!

  • Hey! MKSE.com Swedish / Nordic CMS news are Twitter present @martineden (Martin Edenström – Editor).

  • The best thing we suggest to do is specifically ask the “Sandwich Artists” (remember that?) or the individual store managers/owners what their policies are regarding coupons. Many of them will participate in discount programs including Value Pack direct mailers and newspaper inserts which have coupons for their specific locations. These aren’t printable, but they do give you a starting point. If you happen to live in a more metropolitan area such as greater LA, NY, and so on, you’ll probably be in a better position to get printable coupons online. These areas have major franchisees who own several locations which offer online or printable discounts. Some even have social networking accounts such as Twitter and Facebook that will give information regarding printable coupons, coupons, promotions and other news.
