I'm not seeing any E's in the near term horizon, but then I couldn't say if I did ;-) Actually there were many more Open Text acquisitions over the course of almost 20 years than the ones you've tracked. For a ~$1 billion software company the rate of acquisitions is fairly typical - it's just that the ECM software sector has finally had players achieve this size and therefore acquisition rate.

Nice MS Paint skills, when do you come up with a new text based post? Always keen to read more, of course only if fatherhood permits.. Cheers!

It took me long enough to find the logo. Yes, bit tricky that one.... still there will be more takeovers and then you start on "The Content Experts" strapline! (although still no I for IXOS...)

I didn't actually forget it - it even got a mention here:
http://jonontech.com/2009/05/10/will-vignette-give-open-text-food-poisoning/

Problem is I couldn't do anything with there logo. Also, CMS Watch a.k.a. The Real Story Group have posted a full Open Text family tree here, which is worth a gander:

You forgot IXOS.

Actually IXOS and Obtree merged to become IXOS-Obtree (catchy, I know)(slightly incorrect posting here: http://www.cmswatch.com/Blog/176-IXOS-buys-Obtree). The Obtree product was called Obtree C4 (Now Livelink WCM Presention Server Type 1 - even more catchy)

IXOS was a SAP integration specialist and Obtree C4 has a very nice SAP plugin (hence the merger) However it seems the plan was always to sell on to Open Text (Boo!)

You can try and grab the logo from this site: http://web.archive.org/web/20040121093152/www.ixos.com/?browser=2
